A Spoonful of Sugar & A Whole Lot of Dance: Tap & Jazz

Our young dancers will step through the chalk drawings and straight into a magical Cherry Tree Lane adventure filled with rhythm and imagination. The day kicks off with an energetic jazz warm-up, where students will learn expressive theatrical movement, character performance, and classic storytelling through dance. As we transition into the tap portion of the day, the studio will come alive with the sounds of crisp rhythms as the kids learn to step-in-time, exploring foundational footwork, syncopation, and musicality. Designed specifically to be engaging and professional with the choreography challenging their coordination while keeping the atmosphere full of whimsical fun.

Beyond perfecting their dance technique, campers will immerse themselves in themed creative activities that bring the story of Mary Poppins to life. From building their own custom chimney sweep props to participating in dramatic theater games that spark their confidence, every hour is packed with excitement. A dedicated lunch and rest hour gives
everyone a chance to recharge before we head into afternoon rehearsals, culminating in a lively showcase combination that combines their new tap and jazz skills. It is the perfect blend of structured, high-quality technical instruction and joyful, creative expression that will leave them flying high by dismissal.
