Ease On Down the Yellow Brick Road: Musical Theater & Jazz

Dancers will skip right into the magical land of Oz for a theatrical day filled with rhythm and show-stopping character pieces. The morning starts with a dynamic jazz warm-up, teaching students how to project confidence, tell stories with their expressions, and execute sharp, energetic musical theatre choreography. As we transition into tap, the studio will echo with the sounds of crisp rhythms as campers learn classic theater steps, exploring syncopation and fundamental footwork. Designed to be highly professional yet incredibly fun, this camp challenges their technical coordination while capturing the timeless magic of the Emerald City.

The adventure continues off the dance floor as campers dive into hands-
on creative activities that bring the story to life. Dancers will design and build their own custom Oz-themed performance props, which they will get to feature in their choreography later in the afternoon. A structured lunch and rest hour gives everyone time to recharge their batteries before jumping into dramatic theater games that build stage presence. By the end of the day, the kids will combine their new tap and jazz skills into a spirited Broadway-style showcase routine, leaving them inspired, confident, and ready for center stage.
